Today, Microsoft announced the new Surface tablet. MS is making the hardware as well as the software that runs it: Windows 8 Pro. Surface is made from a Liquid Metal frame. They beat Apple by 4 months (if the iPhone 5 rumors are true).
Screen is 10.6″ and HD resolution, weighs under 1.5 lbs. Permanent scratch and wear resistant surface.
Comes with built-in stand, so you can prop it up and watch a movie. The cover serves as a multitouch keyboard! Antenna is 2×2 to get best wi-fi reception at any angle.
